Yellow Mountain Fire Tower

This is a popular trail for hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of the day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.

Cashiers in Jackson County and only 12 minutes from the cabin. Located in a beautiful North Carolina mountain rain forest, the lake has 26 miles of shoreline and is at the highest elevation of any lake east of the Mississippi (3,494 feet). It offers plenty of things to do for outdoor lovers, including tubing, skiing, paddleboarding, kneeboarding, swimming, and fishing.
